ive never felt the same since starting levothyroxine,it actualy gives me all the symptoms of an underactive thyroid, for the 1st time in 7yrs i stopped taking it,all the underactive symptoms went,my hair and skin went back to normal,i felt great, the only problem i got was the rushing feeling in my throat and felt like my heart was beating hard, not a nice feeling, makes it hard to fall asleep,im thinking that was the thyroid struggling to work?!!,anyway, woke up this morning and facialy i looked terrible, flat skin and wrinkled around the eyes,im totaly confused, this thyroid thing drives me crazy trying to work it out.

Hi, Lesley! Sorry about the problems that you're having.

How often is your doctor doing blood work to check your thyroid hormone levels?

Learn more Levothyroxine details here.

When you're on this medication, they do need to be checked regularly and your dosage adjusted accordingly. If you were on the wrong dosage, that could be why you were experiencing such symptoms.
