Tussinex For cough It is the only thing that works. Take at night when you have a cough that keeps you from reasting. Why is so expensive?

Who manufactures Tussinex? My husband has pulmonary fibrotic Disease and this is the only cough syrup that works for him, however it has now been raised to double the cost; going from generic to brand name.
