While trying to conceive, it should be fine, if your doctor approves. However, once you conceive, you will most likely need to switch to a different medication, because the FDA puts this medication in pregnancy category C, since they cannot rule out possible risks.
Thus, it's likely just easier and safer to speak to your doctor and switch, now. It would save some hassles down the line.
The FDA lists the typical side effects for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.
