Is Trmidol a narcotic medication?

Tramadol has been classified as a narcotic in the past, but as of the current time I am posting this in 2013, it is now only classified as a centrally acting analgesic.

It is derived from an opiate, but has been found to not be as effective as traditional opiate narcotics are, thus its classification was changed.

However, it should be noted that it may be habit forming and could cause side effects similar to those of narcotics, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation.

Are there any other questions? Is there anything I can help with?
