It is for a sinus infection antibiotic. Works very good

- Urinary tract infections, including pyelonephritis, cystitis, urethritis, acute and chronic prostatitis, asymptomatic bacteriuria and prophylaxis of recurrent infections.

- Gastrointestinal and enteritis, gastroenteritis, traveler's diarrhea, shigellosis, salmonellosis and typhoid.

- Upper and lower respiratory infections such as otitis media , sinusitis, pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis and acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.

- Treatment and prophylaxis of pneumonia caused by Pneumocystis carinii in immunocompromised patients.

- In sexually transmitted infections caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae , Chlamydia trachomatis and Haemophilus ducreyi . Also in osteomyelitis and infections of the skin and soft tissues.
