Tri Sprintec When To Start Taking Pills

I have not had a period in two months. Not pregnant. Went to doctor yesterday and her prescribed previfem. Since I don't know when my period should start, should I just start them on Sunday? Will it be about 28 days until my period starts?

Hi. I'm on Tri-Sprintec and I noticed that I switched the end of my week-one with the beginning of my week-two pills. No days were skipped, but since they are different weeks should I also take the one meant for tomorrow too?

Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you can start them at any time, it doesn't have to be on a Sunday, and day of the week will be fine. You just won't be protected against pregnancy, until you've been on it for a full week, so you'll need to use a backup form of contraception for the first 7 days.

It will actually be about 21 days, give or take. You should have your period that last week.

The FDA lists the typical side effects or oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and PMS-like symptoms.
