There's no way to say for sure, it depends on how your body reacts to the added hormones. It may delay your period, until the week of inactive pills, or you may get on schedule. You may also have a period both times.
Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain, PMS like symptoms and mood swings.
Also, please remember that if you didn't start it the first or second day of your period, you will not be protected from pregnancy, until you've taken the active tablets for a full 7 days, so you'll need some backup method of contraception, until the 8th day.
