Tretinoin is a derivative of vitamin A, it is most commonly used to treat acne, and other topical skin conditions, and a form of leukemia when taken orally.
It should not be applied to open blemishes, as it may cause further irritation, redness, and dryness as side effects, and while it has been known to help with wrinkles, it is not usually prescribed for that purpose.
Has it been prescribed for you?
Alicia, sorry to read of the problem you're having. What other remedies have you tried?
I've been prescribed tretinoin cream to dry out some skin pores that have gone crazy. IS it a wrinkle cream too? I can't find any info on it.
