Tramadol Usage

Ihave taken this drug in 200 mg twice a day for over 2o yrs and for several yrs have suffered from shaking palpatations dizzyness the tablets were called Zydol these are no longer on market and changed to Marol worried as not taken before Ichecked information leaflet to find that all my symptoms are side effects of Tramadol after notifing my Doctor have now been given pain patches but no adivce as to how to stop the old meds tried cutting down to just one 200mg per day and now I get depressed and unable to cope any advice would be truly gratful I don't want to live my life like this for ever

Well, you shouldn't be afraid to ask your doctor any questions you have regarding how to switch from one medication to another, but in most cases, you can make a clean switch. Which patches did your doctor prescribe for you?

If they contain Fentanyl, it is much stronger than the Tramadol, so the switch should be easy.

The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
