Hello, Mark! How are you?
It only takes 45mgs of the Tramadol to equal each 30mgs of Codeine that you were taking, so you may actually get better pain relief from taking 100mgs of it.
And the side effects should be about the same, the FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Is there anything else I can help with?
thanks for your help.
You are very welcome!
Are there any other questions or concerns?
I would say they wouldnt help compared to 60mg codiene and youd probably have codiene withdrawals to boot, but that was long ago. Kinda late, But now at least you could tell us uf it helped and how it worked out?
Hey, I just wanted to point out that he was taking T3's and not T4's. If he is having good pain control with 30 mg's of codeine then I would think that he has not been taking them for a prolonged period of time. A tolerance has not been built up in his case but he said how his doctor told him to take them but did not tell us what reality may be. He may only take them when he needs them. If that is so kudos for him. Tramadol can be an excellent pain control and many have pointed out that it is a central analgesic. This means that it's effects are primarily to totally in the brain and not at the site of pain. Anything that you do with the brain tends to have an addictive effect that is either physiological or psychological. Psychological is totally real and needs to be treated as any other addiction. I hope you all the best. I don't know everything and everything has different effects on each of us. Please take that into consideration. Sometimes it is better to take a pain killer and take a lower dose and something that enhances that in coordination with your doctor. I am not thinking of alcohol by the way.
