Tramadol 50mg Every 3 Hours

I have more pain relief taking one 50 mg Tramadol every 3 hours instead of 2 tablets every 6 hours. My primary dr. is ok with this but my pharmacist is a little hesitate. I can take 5 pills per day. What would you suggest and why?

If your doctor approves, then it is best to follow their guidance, it is not the pharmacist's decision.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

In actuality, how would the pharmacist know you were taking them every 3 hours, rather than every 6, if they weren't informed of such?

I take a couple of blood pressure and heat medications, which are most commonly dosed once a day, but I take them twice daily, because it works better for me that way.
