found this need to know what it is very tiny round white with imprint 4 on one side

It sounds like a hydromorphone generic for dilaudid a four milligram. They have different manufactures they also come in yellow color with 4mg. These are used for severe pain.

According to the prescription drug identification databases, the Hydromorphone that Jeanie mentioned would also have an M on it. The FDA lists that this is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

So far, I've been unable to find one with just a 4 on it. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you.

Does anyone else recognize this tablet?

No it was not that I am aware of those. I think it maybe a genetic water pill?
