Tikosyn And Antibiotics (Top voted first)

i need an antibiotic for a UTI and i use Tikosyn..what antibotic is safe to use with tikosyn?

Do not take any super antibiotics such as Bactrim or Ciparo

Dr gave me Macrobid

Otherwise it will affect your QT

I was going to take my blood thiner at 5:30 have different pill boxes.. pulled out the wrong pill box. didnt notice this till last pill went down one of the pills was my Tikosyn. The tikosyn was not suppose to have been taken till 10:00. 5 hours later. is that real dangerous.

Hello, Susan! How are you?

Unfortunately, there are far too many antibiotics on the market for me to be able to check them all for interactions with the Tikosyn.

Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to prescribe one that you can safely take, your pharmacy will also double check for you, when you have it filled.

Alternatively, if your doctor prescribes one, you can feel free to post back here and I'll gladly check for you.
