Throat Pain Tablets

I had a severe throat pain 10days ago and got fever around 103'cal because of that doctor advised me to take augmentin 625mg for 5days.I completed the course but after 2days again I felt d same situation and still I'm suffering from severe throat pain and unable to swallow anything
So I'm taking Disprin and nimulid tablet for pain relief on equal intervals
What can cause this problem?
What problems can I face if taken dease med for longer time as a pain killer?
