Hello, Julia! How are you?

When a medication is available as a generic, it is usually manufactured by several different companies, it creates market competition to help keep prices down, so there is no difference, except for the fact that your new pharmacy carries one that's made by a different company. It has nothing to do with how good your insurance is, or etc. Under current U.S. laws, to try to lower costs, they are required to fill your prescription with a generic, unless your doctor specifies otherwise, or you are paying cash and don't want a generic, and then, when a generic is used, you are given whichever one your pharmacy has in stock and that one happens to be the one who was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability and weight loss.

Is there anything else I can help with?
