i felt light headed, my balance while walking slowing was affected causing me to sway a bit to left and right. I took 14 pills as directed by my doctor. 2 pills every day after eating some food. I was bound up, not having a bowel movement for 5 days. When I notice the effect that the pill was having on my body, I stopped taking the pill. I had used 14 pills in a prescription of 20. I had a visit with my doctor and she made an appointment to have an mri on my head. Monday, i will have my mri.

Hi Paul,

Sorry to hear about your experience with naproxen. From what I've read, constipation is in fact listed as a side effect.

However I don't have the slightest clue why an MRI would have be taken on your head, when constipation is clearly the primary issue. Are you also experiencing any other possible side effects, such as headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, hearing problems, or changes in vision? Some of these are actually listed as serious side effects of naproxen that should be reported to your doctor immediately. But in either case, I am curious to know if anyone else understands why an MRI is recommend, when one can already see that naproxen is the cause of such side effects and not necessarily something that's internally-related to the head.

Side effects are referenced from: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a681029.html#side-effects

I hope this helps!
