Tested Negative For Vicodin

I recently had to take a blood test for my doctor that prescribes my Hydrocodone because I was just unable to give a urine sample. I had recently been sick and for 3 days did not take my Hydrocodone and i was a day late to go get them refilled so i missed another whole day of pills. I am wondering could this be why i got a letter from him stating i tested negative for it and he has now dismissed me from his practice?
