Taking One Pill Every 8 Hours For A Prescription Of 90

This should last me 30 days, but two weeks from the date of prescription it was changed allowing me to take it every 6 hours. When can I get my next refill if it was prescribed Oct. 31, 2016 - present?

May I ask what medication you are taking? It is ultimately up to the doctor if they are able to issue you a refill sooner than 30 days. Since they upped your dose then they should be aware that you will go through the prescription more quickly. If you took 3 per day for 2 weeks then that would leave you with about 48 pills (90 total - [14 days * 3 per day]). Then if you started taking 4 per day (24 hours / every 6 hours) then you would go through the remaining pills in about 12 days. So in the end you would have gone through your entire prescription in about 26 days, finishing about 4 days early.

Thank you. I appreciate that. It's very confusing at times. That was exactly the answer I needed. The prescription is called norco. I have chronic pain lower back and legs. Been through many surgeries. Also just diagnosed with cancer and I feel scared to take many types of medications at once. Although, the doctor of course would not prescribe many things that would harm me. I do feel reassured to get opinions that make more sense to me, so thanks again for your help.
