Taking A Different Antibiotic The Next Day

I was given metronidazole for an abscess in my gum, but i have a bladder infection, and since i had sepsis in june i didn't want to take the risk, so i took nitrofurantoin the next day. Is that safe?

Yes, you can usually just go from one antibiotic to another, unless your doctors instructs otherwise.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea. dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
