My father (76 years) is suffering from imbalance during walking. So his neurologist prescribed a syndopa CR (125 mg) tablet, twice a day, and after one month he changes to a syndopa plus (125 mg) tablet.

He should follow his doctor's instructions for the best results.
The NIH lists the typical side effects of these medications as possibly including dizziness, nausea, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, and odd dreams.
Is he on any other medications?
