i am currently on 25mg fentanyl patches, my dr spoke to me about changing my medication, he is suggesting ER MORPHINE TABLETS taken 12hourly, am I going to manage my pain successfully? we haven't discussed strength so what will be at least equivalent or a little stronger as i'm having breakthrough pain

You only need 7.5mgs of Morphine to equal each patch of Fentanyl, though you will take it more often, since it doesn't last 3 days, like the patch does.
This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
