I would suggest consulting an MD regarding being allergic to Penicillin while taking Suxprim.

Research I have gathered shows that Suxprim and Bactrim are one in the same pill. I believe the difference is that Suxprim is only available in Mexico. I may be wrong about it's availability, if anyone else can help clarify that.

I have been taken Suxprim for at least 13 years as needed. I use to take erithamicin but I ask Doc to change something else. I bought the medicine in Mexico and works great. The dose is 160/800 (horse pills) ,100 pills to the bottle ($14). Works great! Bought the last bottle in 2002 and used in Jan 2011. Still working great. If I feel chest congestion coming on from a cold. I use them for 4 days. I have about 25 pills left. I watched the ex head of the Medical Journal on sixty minutes tv program and she stated that there are only 7 pill manufactures in the world and purchasing outside the U S is safe. She didn't like the drug companies statements about the safey of the drugs. Drug companies just want to charge their high prices in U S. Beats going to doc for the same thing all the time. Just must watch if taking other medications of which I am not.
