Susten 200 And Elevit

Hi I am 5 weeks pregnant and had two misscaririages before I am taking elevit by last 3 moths so please sugeest me if I can take elevit and susten 200 at the same time or I should stop taking one of them

The Elevit is a multivitamin and mineral supplement, that is used to help make sure the mother has the proper nutrition required to keep both her and the baby healthy. A lack in vital nutrients can lead to problems for the mother, as well as birth defects for the baby.

Susten contains the hormone Progesterone, it is a female hormone that is required to support a health pregnancy, a lack in it can cause miscarriages, or early labor, which is more than likely why your doctor wants you to use it.

There is really no problem associated with using them, together. It is perfectly normal for women that need them to use both, with no problems.


However, if you are unsure, then you should speak to your doctor about your concerns.

i am 6 week in pregnancy i got spotting in left abdomon and the Dr. Rx duvadilan BID 3 weeks. after taking duvadilan some brown colour hard bleeding comes out 2 times a day then the Dr. advised dicynene tabs OD for two days still i continues then the Dr. administered styptochrome inj 1amp still there is some light brown colour bleeding. Now the Dr. Rx Susten 200mg OD for one month. Now the bleeding as reduced and i want to know the status of my pregnancy.

Sathya, only your doctor can tell you the status of your pregnancy. That requires someone that knows all the details and has done an exam, to know what caused the bleeding and more specifics of what is going on.

Have you tried asking your doctor?

Sometimes, bleeding during pregnancy can be perfectly normal and doesn't even mean there is a problem. There are women who will bleed the entire 9months, just as if they are still having their menstrual cycle, even though they are pregnant.

Susten is a Progesterone hormone, this hormone is vital to a healthy pregnancy and being able to carry to baby to full term.

I dont have regular periods. I had a miscrg last year because of the low growth rate of the baby. Again we planned for the baby and consulted a doctor. I was preacribed fertyl tablets, duphaston and metaformin. And this time I missed my period bt after 3 days of my missed period I did a pregnancy test it was negative. And ihave been suffering from abdominal and lower back pain with a little amount of brown discharge. Why is this happening? What should I do?

Vitamin and oral progesterone are totally fine together. After 8 weeks, you may check with your doctor for progesterone injection which is very effective. Only 33% of oral progesterone take effect compared to injection.
