Sulfatrimeth Ds Tab 800 Mg Any Side Effects

taking sulfa/trimeth ds tab for urinary infection 800 mg. having halusinations don't know if it's from medication. Is this medication a possible source?

yes you can take benedryl... it doesnt react...ps hallucinations arent a side effect of the drug, but especially in elderly a UTI can cause hallucinations and delusions...

I have a prostate/bladder infection and started taking antibiotics for it yesterday. Prior to taking the drugs, I started getting a bit of a skin irritation, probably from working in the garden. Can I safely take benedryl tablets with my antibiotics (sulfatrim ds 800/160) to help with the itching.

Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim is a combination antibiotic, used to treat several types of infections.

This is not a listed side effect, however, medications can affect some people differently, so it is possible.

Have you spoken to your doctor about this? You should contact them immediately so they can figure out if it is the medication or something else.
