Can it be used to treat ulcers or bed sores on or near the butt on adults (near the rectum)?

This is a topical antibiotic ointment that is used to treat or prevent infections.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, flaking, and dryness.

It may not due much to treat bed sores and ulcers, so you should follow whatever instructions the doctor has provided.
