Sulfamethoxazole Tmp Ds Tablet Use

I would like to take Excedrin for a headache to today. Can I take w the above drug. If not, what could I take?

Actually, the FDA cautions against combining the Aspirin in the Excedrin with this antibiotic, because they can increase the efficacy of each other, which may be dangerous, in some cases, due to the fact that they could reach toxic overdose levels.

Other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia, and stomach irritation.
