I am giving 15 tablets twice a day to my horse. Could you tell me what this takes care of? Is it for pain or an antibiotic? I want to know what it is for - please and thank you.

Can you tell me the amount of time ( DAYS) to stay on this antibiotic. Please. my horse has a lung infection. I actually was able to get this finicky guy to eat it with maple syrup. Thank you

My Vet told me to use for minimum of 14 days, but I would verify this with your Vet since it is a lung infection. Good luck!

I crush the pills and mix them with applesauce. I get the natural or low sugar kind, this seems to work for my horses. I use 1/4 to 1/3 cup of applesauce with the crushed pills depending on how may pills I have to give. I mix this mixture into some sweet feed and add the regular feed. So far no problems!

The pills dissolve in water easily. I use a small jar (condiment type jar with lid).. put tabs in jar with water, let set about 1 minute or so, shake. pour on a low starch grain pellet, add a cup of applesauce and stir well. my horse eats it readily

My mare has pigeon fever on her mammary gland. It's going around in N. Calif. I was told that giving an antibiotic at this point would be a bad thing. It is draining right now.

Pour a little bit of canned coke over the antibiotic pills and within a few minutes it will turn into a paste that you can mix with grain. The horses easily eat it right up.

Usually for an infection you would need to give 16 pills twice a day orally. so 32 a day totall. Each pill is 800mg

I would start by doing it for a month and see how much it improves. That may be all your horse needs. But if they have diaherea you need to stop antibiotics immediately

Put the pills in a cup of warm water. They will dissolve pretty quickly. Then I add molasses to the warm water/dissolved pills and mix it in feed.

I melt the pills in a small amount of hot water , just enough water to make them into a paste and mix it with some grain, my mare eats ut just fine :)

I break 1 slices of bread, crush the tableys, drizzle some molasses, drizzle some watwr, stir, no issues

Yes it's the best, just turn it into a paste and pack it in. It seems to stay in place very well too.

What I do is dissolve the pills in a coffee cup with about 1/2 inch water, it will make a paste. Mix with a cup or so of senior feed. Feed before the meal twice a day. They love it.
