Sulfamethox Tmp Ds 800 160

Just started on this prescription for a urinary infection after being pulled off of Cipro which gave me headaches and made sleep difficult. Is Sulphamethox similar to Cipro when it comes to avoiding calcium (milk/dairy products) 2 hours before and 6 hours after taking it? I was told that eating or drinking calcium rich foods diminished the effects and needed to know if this applied to Sulphamethox as well. Thanks

Since this is a different type of antibiotic, dairy products do not affect its absorption.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
