Sulfameth Trimethoprim Interactions With Methadone

Can u take sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 while on methadone? I once took cipro and went into immediate horrible withdrawal!

Yes, as long as your doctor is aware that you're taking both. There is a chance that it may prolong the QT interval of the heart, but it isn't considered to be a dangerous reaction.

Side effects to this antibiotic may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
