Sulfameth/trimethoprim Interactions Paroxetine

can I take paroxetine while taking sulfameth/trimethoprim ? my dr prescribed me the sulfameth for a urinary trach infection but I never finished them and now im taking paroxetine and im starting to feel the uti come back and was wondering if I could take them together ? ive tried to look online other places and have no answer

No, it would be best to see your doctor for a new antibiotic, if you need one.

Combining these two medications can increase the QTc interval of the heart, which could be dangerous.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of Paroxetine as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.

Hi.My wife is on 50m of methadone P/D, she is also on 60mg of paroxetine.She was prescribed co-trimoxazole.
She was prescribed the co-trimoxazole for infection ,she suffers with COPD.
Within 1 day her respiratory system decreased terribly ,should she stop taking the co-trimoxazole.
