Sulfameth Trimethoprim 800 160 How Bad

My 21 year old daughter has been on this medication for 6 days. She developed a rash and in one day seems to cover her arms legs chest and face. She has quit taking medication and we are treated the rash. Any advice for relief.

Does the rash include hives and itching, or is it just a visible skin rash?

A non-allergic rash can be a normal side effect of antibiotics and, if that's what it is, she should continue her course of treatment as it is nothing to worry about and will eventually go away on its own. However, if she has hives and itching, then she is possibly having an allergic reaction and should seek medical attention.

Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and diarrhea.
