Sulfameth Trimethoprim 800 160 For Kidney Stone?

im told i have a kidney stone. perscribe Tamsulosin.04mg and sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 and hydrocodone/acetaminophen fot pain.with no insurance paid $60.00 for the meds.pain still there 3 days now what do i expect wirh now follow up with no insurance no drs appt. what n when will this go away

Hello, Laura! How are you feeling? Sorry about the health issues. I've been there without insurance and it's not a fun place to be.

It's only been a few days, so that's a little too soon to expect the medications to work and resolve the issue.

The Sulfa/Trimeth is a generic for Bactrim, it's an antibiotic and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Please be careful with this one, if you get hives, it could be the start of a dangerous allergic reaction starting and you should see a doctor immediately.

The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a generic for Vicodin, it is a narcotic pain reliever, so it has the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, constipation and dry mouth.

But you really do need to see a doctor to make sure that this clears up. Are there any clinics in you area that operate on a sliding fee scale?
