I have an inflamed prostate that my urologist discovered during my last exam three weeks ago. Prior to that my primary care dr had diagnosed my problems as prostate as well. The cipro he prescribed did nothing and now on septra for four weeks or more. Any comments? Thx

Hello, Anthony! How are you? Has there been any improvement, yet?
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
A long course of antibiotics is the most common treatment for this condition, but the only way to see if it works for you is by taking it, as prescribed.
