Sulfameth Tmp Ss Product Information

I am a nurse trying to find out for a friend who has a three month prescription for this drug. She read that it can cause kidney failure. Are there any standard letters that could be faxed to me about this. I used to be in product information and when a health care professional called, we sent out standard letters and gave more information than on the PI. My friend is a wreck and is taking this for a UTI (recurring over and over). I am afraid I do not have any letters to send you, however, the only warnings I see listed for this are for those who already have a renal problem or suffer a severe reaction to the medication.

If she has already been using it, then she has obviously not had a severe reaction to it.
