Sulfa Based Antibi

I'm allergic to sulfa medications. I have an intestinal parasite. Doctor wants to treat with paromomycin. I need to know if this is sulfa-based?

No, it isn't, but that doesn't mean you may not discover that you are also allergic to it or some other medications. Generally, being allergic to one raises the chance that you may be allergic to others.

The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, stomach cramps, diarrhea and headache.
