Sugar Levels And Medicines

I was taking reclimet tablets twice a day for the past 2 years and my sugar level is under control. I used to take pioz7.5 alongwith but have discontinued it from last month as my doctor said I do not need it now.
now I am in usa for 3 months and will return on 26th may. I have run out of reclimet tablets, but I do have pioz 7.5. should I continue with pioz7.5 from now on? or just stop taking any sugar tablets? I am 64 years old and physically fit; my bp is under control and so is my thyroid.[eltroxin.5 per day] please advise. I am not in a position to consult doctors here. so...

You can't just stop taking any, because that risks a rebound effect that may cause your sugar levels to rise to dangerous levels.

How long have you been off the Pioz and how well did it control your sugar?

Really, you need to find a way to consult a doctor here, even if you just go to an ER and pay for it later.

Reclimet contains Gliclazide and Metformin, so you need to let a doctor know that, since they most likely won't know what it contains.

thank u for reply. I stopped taking pioz7.5 2.5 months back upon doctors advice.

I have 5 strips still in stock while my reclimet tab will last only 12 days more.

I am returning to india on 26th may. what I want to know is may I take pioz in the remaing 14 days? and what is er? please explain
