Is it safe for a parent to be driving their children while taking subutex?

It really depends on the person in question and how it affects them.

If you read the warnings given for these types of medications, it states that you shouldn't drive or operate heavy machinery, until you know for sure how the medication is affecting you. If it causes a lot of drowsiness and dizziness in the person that's taking it, then no, they should refrain from driving.

However, not everyone that takes it experiences such side effects and they also tend to wear off, over time, so if they do experience them, there may be only a short period of time, where it isn't safe for them to drive.

Legal in Tn if your prescribed to drive to & from dr unlike methadone. Personally I think it depends on the person and the amount dissolved. Being a responsible dad & patient myself, I think that if one is ingesting a responsible dose then no worries about "buzzed driving"
