Subutex Info Please

I was prescribed zubsolv for pain and found that one if the ingredients is making me overly nauseated and have horrible headaches. I was informed Subutex doesn't have that particular ingredient. Does anyone know if it help chronic pain(for gi pain) and if there are bothersome side effects?

How much water do I need to drink with the med to keep me from getting sick? It hurts to eat or drink so I have t force myself and deal with the pain which hopefully will eventually subside. Also is Subutex better than zubsolv?

Hello, Candy! How are you?

No, it isn't your water intake. Some people just have that type of reaction to the Naloxone that's in it.

Subutex contains only the opiate Buprenorphine, which the FDA lists as carrying the risk of being habit forming and it may cause sid effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation.

Some do well taking it for pain, but there are some it doesn't work that well.

Hi Verwon. Thanks for the response. I've actually withheld takin either bc I'm afraid of the side effects. My Drs think I have nerve problems so they are trying me on a TCA to see if it helps. If not I may g back to the Subutex. Do you know if the side effects of it go away after a week or 2 like if your body gets used to it? I'm getting pretty desperate bc of the severe pain, lack of eating/drinking and sleep along with weakness and confusion

Hi Rosey, debilitating pain is horrible and it sounds like you have way too many sources of it and I'm sorry you are not finding the help you need. I don't live in ohio so I couldn't help you with specific doctors. This may be a silly question but have you tried calling pain management centers? They are not all the same and perhaps you will be able to find one that can and will help you. God bless and I hope you find relief soon

Yes it did help me from chronic pain, I felt better than I have in a long time, but I was only on the subutex for about 4 days, I cut 1 pill into 4, so instead of taking 6, 7.5 percocet a day, I only took 1 subutex a day
