Subutex Blocks Other Opiates Like Suboxone Does
UpdatedI was dope sick and was given a subutex. I hear it's just like the suboxone so it's a blocker or would I feel another opiate a few hours later?

Hello, Bree! How are you?
No, Subutex does not contain the Naloxone that is in Suboxone that neutralizes other opiates. It only contains Buprenorphine.
The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
However, if you have an addiction problem, I strongly urge you to see a doctor and get proper medical help.
Is there anything else I can help with?
Vernon you do not know what you are talking about at all. Yes subutex blocks opiates just as well as suboxone. The bup which is in both medications is the blocker. The only purpose of the naloxone is a deference factor. The idea was that if one IV's suboxone it would put them in to precipitated withdrawals which doesn't work you can still IV suboxone. All that it does is put you into precipitated withdrawals if you have opiates in your system and you take suboxone. The actual blocker is the bup. I have been on both medications and I am currently on subutex. Naloxone doesn't do a damn thing but make one go into withdrawals when taken while opiates are in the system. The answer to your question is no. You will not feel any effect of the opiates until three to five days after stopping taken the subutex. Try if you want but you will be wasting your opiates and your money and your time.
Sometimes subutex and suboxone makes you not feel that you are s***ting your own pants. Wear a diaper when taking this drug.
I was wondering if anyone could help me? I am currently addicted to opiates and I got some m924 subutex to get clean, but I was wondering if I need to wait 24 hours after my last dose of opiates like with suboxone or if I can just take it when I'm ready?
Re: Ness (# 2)
ACTUALLY vernon is correct!. Subutex doesn't have an opiate blocker whatsoever. Naloxalone is the only blocker in suboxone and subutex doesn't have naloxalone. Its very simple. Buprenorphine isnt a blocker nor doesn't have an opiate blocker in it. Buprenorphine is basically an opiate itself.
