It's kinda s***ty that color code and drug court won't allow you to take Suboxone. Especially when you have already been on it for a while. My best advice is to try Kratom. It is all natural, in the same family as coffee, kills withdraw, perks you up, kills pain, and has a very very mild withdraw (maybe some diarrhea). You can get it from some head shops around town but you will save alot of money if you order it from online. Currently I am on suboxone but have taken Kratom to stay away from hard stuff before and it worked for me. Do some research online about it. maeng da is my favorite strand. DEA is fighting against it, but you can't OD on it and it is a life saver and really much better than all this crap doctors push on us. Hope this helps.
The reason it's so hard to stop is because it's also contains a very potent narcotic, Buprenorphine. Most people being treated with it end up taking it for several years, doing a very, very slow taper off of it.
I haven't taken it, so I am not sure of the answer to your other questions. However, have you tried asking your doctor? They should be able to advise you on this.
