been thinking of taking pradaxa for stroke prevention...the say it can reduce the stroke problem by 35%...and advice

Has your doctor advised you to take it?

Like any medication, there are risks associated with its use, so it should only be used if the possible benefits to you outweigh the risks.

It contains the active ingredient Dabigatran, which is an anticoagulant, so that's how it can help prevent a stroke.

However, the side effects can include: nausea, dizziness, easier bruising and increase risk of bleeding.
