Stress Fracture Of The Foot

Received my first Prolia injection in June. I have osteoporosis of the spine and osteopenia of the hips. I am 62 and in good health otherwise, do not take any other prescriptions except for vaginal premarin cream. On November 3 for no apparent reason I had a stress fracture in the right foot below the outer ankle. It is still not fully healed, but is much better. A week after the stress fracture I did a slow motion fall, while hobbling around on a relatives driveway, hitting their mailbox post, (with not much force) causing a type II shoulder sprain which still has not healed. My general physician referred me to an orthopedic specialist on Thursday to see what is going on. My GP recommended not taking the second shot this December. The gynocologist is the prescriber of the Prolia. Will see him after the ortho. I did find some studies looking into foot fractures and Prolia. Has anyone else had this experience? I have not had any of the listed side effects. I do have low vitamin 'E', 26, (live in central NY), so taking supplements to build it up per GP. Apparently, Prolia can not work work without 'E'. Prolia seems to be working in reverse for me.

Most of the good bone building medications and supplements require adequate levels of Vitamin D to work. That's normal.
Even the female hormone progesterone doesn't work as well, in your bodies, if vitamin D is low.
Do not know about 'E' levels. I meant to say Vitamin 'D' levels in the original post. My error.
Hello, Chris! How are you?
The estrogens in the Premarin cream could also be playing a role. Estrogens can make your bones more brittle, when younger, it's balanced out by progesterone to prevent such issues, but once you are no longer ovulating, you no longer have this same supportive ratio. Generally, you always produce estrogen, but not enough progesterone, which causes an imbalance and that's why many women develop such issues, after menopause.
And not everyone does well with Prolia, many women tend to develop harsh side effects, such as joint pain, muscle pain and severe headaches.
How low is your vitamin E?
