Strep Throat And Sulfamethoxazole

My husband has strep throat and has no insurance. He has some sulfa.... Here but we are not sure if he can use it...

This is an antibiotic, so it can be used to treat various types of bacterial infections. However, the concern is that if he doesn't have enough to complete a full course of it, it could create the risk of his developing antibiotic resistant bacteria, the same is true if he doesn't actually have an infection.

Typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

It would really be best for him to see a doctor to have them confirm the presence of an infection, if there is one and to have the proper antibiotic prescribed.

What dosage is this one?
