For what purpose is it given? To reduce cholesterol or to thin blood?

This medication contains the active ingredients Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol, and Clopidogrel, which is used to help prevent blood clotting, so the answer is that it is used for both. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, joint/muscle aches, and easy bruising.
