Stop Taking Losartan Suddenly
UpdatedI have jAFib with accompanying shortness of breath and since taking Losartan 25 mg daily, the SOB has been much worse, I cannot walk 100 feet without having to stop and catch my breath. I also take Atenolol for low blood pressure. Can I stop the Losartan abruptly without any consequences?

Hello, Joan! How are you?
It would be best to consult your doctor and follow their instructions. It could be that your blood pressure is going too low, so you may need to adjust the dosage of one of these medications, or stop taking it.
Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and increased urination.
Is there anything else I can help with?
