Stop Meloxicam One Day Start Alieve The Next?

I understand you can't take Meloxicam and alieve together but can you stop the meloxicam on one day and start alieve the next? I have the flu and would like to get my fever down.

Yes, you can do that, as long as your doctor approves. They are both nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, so you can usually just switch smoothly from one to the other upon the next dosing time.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation.
