Stop Itch
UpdatedI stopped neurontin on July 3, 2014. On July 7, I started itching so bad that I didn't know what to do. Does this seem like it is related? I was thinking about asking my doctor to go back on it. Would this help with severe itching and feeling scratchy all over my body? Thank you! I hope you can help me.

Hello, Renea! How are you?
If you're still itching, after several months, it likely isn't related to stopping the medication. It could happen, at first, due to chemical changes in the body, as a withdrawal reaction, but that usually doesn't last more than a few weeks to a month.
Have you been using anything else new, such a soap, shampoo, or laundry detergent?
Are you on any other medications?
Have you consulted your doctor about the itching?
