Stolen Prescription

I went to the pharmacy to get a prescription filled and was told it was too soon because I supposedly has just got the same script filled a few days earlier but the thing is I had never got that medicine filled before so someone stole a script and took it to get filled how can I find the person who did it since they used my name at the pharmacy

Hi Tywanna! U need 2 call the police and fill out a form. Tell them what happened and they will give u a form 2 bring 2 the doctors and the pharmacy. Your doctor should then give u a new prescription. And, the police will investigate what happened. Then u will be covered. Let us know how u make out.

No one can fill a Narcotic prescription without giving your Social Security number, to the Pharmacy, first And if it's the first time as being filled, that person also has to show the Pharmacy identification, like a Drivers license!

Not true. Never been asked for SS#. However, I always have to show ID, and all my pharmacists know me by name. No matter, you can't just drop off a script without proving who you are since the tighter controls for some Schedule II's went into effect.

I have been going to CVS Pharmacy, for the past 10 years or so. It's the Only pharmacy I use. And everyone there knows me, by name..... And yet they still ask for my SS#, before I pay for those type of prescriptions! So, if Your particular Pharmacy ISN'T asking for you social..... Then you are not protected, like you should be!
