Sticker On Back Of My Prescription Paper

greetings all, I have a rx for 1 to 3 tab tid for endocet 10/325. my question is what does it mean when there is a sticker on the back of the rx with a number 1, next to it is a number reading #1, 6202....#2, 2189...#3, 311... under the hand written digits is pre printed wording reads; PLAN: Pt. being seen on a monthly basis for pain management. can anyone tell me why those four and one three digit numbers are on the reverse side of my post dated script????

I could very well wrong in assuming this, but it sounds to me like these are simple codes pharmacies use in order to help keep things organized within their own database of prescriptions. With thousands of medications on file, it would probably be a nightmare if you didn't have some sort of way to keep track of them all.

I've worked in retail before (stocking articles of clothing), and the numbers you mentioned are actually very similar to codes you might find on the back of a T-shirt that correspond to its name, color, size, and other key references that depict what it is. So like I said, I don't know if that's what it corresponds to for certain on a prescription, but I'm sure it may be relatable to something similar.

Does anyone else recognize what these digits/abbreviations might stand for?
