If I could make a suggestion for a few natural items that are touted for their ability to help support endurance and stamina, it would be prickly pear (nopal cactus); raw maca root; raw cacao powder; raw spirulina and chlorella.
I don't think any of these are considered to be drugs, as research shows them to be very nutritious plant-based alternatives. Many of which have been used for thousands of years long before big pharma ever existed.
My thinking would be to give one or more of those a chance just to see how it works for you... even if it's only for a week trial. I've personally felt a big difference after taking spirulina and chlorella for an extended period of time, but due to their sheer potency you can probably notice the uplifting and therapeutic effects after just a couple doses.
Anyways, I'd be really interested in hearing back from you after you found something that works. I'm doing a lot of endurance training myself, so the more tips we can share among each other, the better!
